Our Beaumont Team

Dr. Sheldon Jordan, ND

At the age of 17, I had a glimpse of myself as a healer, with the vision of treating the body, mind, and spirit: the whole person. It took some time before I was introduced to Naturopathic medicine but the connection was instantaneous. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree, I moved to Toronto to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of two accredited colleges in Canada. Graduating valedictorian of my class while starting a family, I felt compelled to move back to Alberta, where there is a need for Naturopathic Doctors. The natural fit was Beaumont, a city with a small town feel, which respects its past while embracing a vibrant future, much like naturopathic medicine.

It has been my honour these last several years to serve in the field of integrative cancer care. I am passionate about empowering each person who is or has gone through a journey with cancer to make informed choices about the type of care they want to receive, whether curative or palliative. By integrating both naturopathic and conventional types of treatments, I have witnessed incredible stories, lived by the people of our community.

Whether you have just received a cancer diagnosis or are “in your dance with cancer” as one of my patients puts it, I would be honoured to be a part of your team.

Dr. Sydney Speer, ND

I have always wanted to be a doctor, but when I worked at a medical office in my second year of university I felt that there was more to health and wellness that was missing. That’s when I found Naturopathic Medicine. I remember learning about the 6 principles of naturopathic medicine and almost immediately feeling drawn to the profession. I aim to work with you to create a plan so you can feel your best.

I studied Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta before moving to Toronto to study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

I would be honoured to be your naturopathic doctor and am looking forward to helping you with your healthcare needs.

Dr. Tracy Ewashkiw, ND

I am deeply passionate about naturopathic medicine and the holistic approach it offers to patient care. For me, being a naturopath means more than just treating symptoms; it involves being an educator, coach, and motivator in my patients' health journeys. I believe in empowering my patients with knowledge about their health so they can make informed decisions. I see myself as a guide, helping them navigate various treatment options and lifestyle changes to achieve optimal health.

My practice focuses on fertility, women’s health from adolescence to menopause, digestive health, and family medicine. I am dedicated to inspiring individuals and families to improve their health through natural therapies and evidence-based practices. My approach integrates traditional naturopathic techniques with contemporary medical insights, allowing me to address the root causes of health issues, create personalized treatment plans, and educate on preventative medicine. I use a range of therapies, including lifestyle counselling, clinical nutrition, supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and injection therapy.

Patient care, to me, is about building a strong, trusting relationship with each individual and understanding their unique needs and goals. I strive to create a supportive and compassionate environment where my patients feel heard, valued, and motivated to take charge of their health. Witnessing their transformation and seeing them thrive is incredibly rewarding and fuels my passion for naturopathic medicine every day.

I earned my Doctor of Naturopathy from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, where I also completed training in cosmetic acupuncture. As a registered member of the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta and a participant in the AAND and CAND, my dedication to holistic health is unwavering.

Kayla Bailey, RN

I’m really grateful and excited to be joining the team. I recently completed my RN degree, but caring for others has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been fascinated by the human body, how we heal, and how much support and compassion can influence someone’s wellbeing. Nursing felt like a natural path for me because I genuinely love connecting with people and being part of their care.

What really drew me to this role is the chance to slow down and be present with patients. I value meaningful conversations, learning about people’s experiences, and offering support that feels personal rather than rushed. I carry a deep sense of empathy into my work, and I’ve always believed that healing happens on many levels — physical, emotional, and even in the way we feel understood.

I also love being outdoors and grounding myself in nature — it’s something that reminds me why I chose this profession in the first place: to bring calm, clarity, and care into someone’s day. In this space, I’m able to use my clinical skills while also showing up as my genuine self. Whether I’m giving guidance, providing treatments, or simply offering a comfortable and welcoming environment, I want every patient to feel supported and heard.

When you come in, my hope is that you feel at ease — that it’s a moment to breathe, to reconnect with yourself, and to know you’re cared for. Getting to know patients is one of my favorite parts of nursing, and I’m grateful to be in a place where that’s encouraged.

I’m looking forward to this opportunity, and it would be an honor to be part of your healing journey.

Dr. Elizaveta Lapshina, ND

From a young age, I was interested in nature and how it can interact with the human body. This curiosity grew through my connection to my culture, which has preserved many traditional health practices. My science-focused mind pushed me to understand these traditions, and explore the scientific reasoning behind methods that have surpassed generations. Later, my experience in the modeling and fitness industry pushed me to explore my own health through more sustainable approaches. These experiences, and some travelling along the way, led me to pursue naturopathic medicine.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph and studied Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. In practice, I focus on understanding each patient from a physiological, psychological, and spiritual perspective to create individualized treatment plans that address the whole person.

Jayda Bernes

I attended school at CSNN in Vancouver, receiving my diploma in natural nutrition. In my practice I focus on addressing all aspects of my clients life that may be contributing to imbalances and dis-ease in the body. When working with clients I help them learn to listen to their body’s signals, implement healthy habits and uncover the root cause of their health concerns.

I am so excited to be a part of the team here at Naturopathie Integrative Clinic. I love getting the opportunity to collaborate with a team of health practitioners to support our clients together as they achieve balance.

Tianna St. Jean, LPN

Hello Everyone! I’m so grateful to be joining the Naturopathie Integrative team!! I’m a Licensed Practical Nurse and have been nursing in the field of conventional medicine field for over 5 years. After years of feeling I didn’t have the proper resources or support to fully advocate for my patients, I finally took a leap of faith and found the job of my dreams, IV nurse! After years of exploring alternative therapies for myself, I discovered there is so much we aren’t taught about ourselves, our bodies and our capacity to heal. It fascinated me!

I couldn’t be happier to have found a workplace that doesn’t only allow me to perform the nursing skills I love, such as supporting patients, empowering them, administering IV’s, as well as offering advice, I also get to be my authentic self and share my stories, my journey and the things that empower me!

When you come in for an IV, it’s not just the good feels from the treatment that you’ll get, or the cozy room with a cup of tea, or a friendly conversation with another patient , it’s a space to relax, connect and to heal. I love my job for so so many reasons, the biggest being something I never got the chance to do in previous jobs – time to get to know the patients on a personal level.

I look forward to meeting you all and would be honored to be a part of your healing journey!

Ruth Anne Durance

I have a diverse education background that includes a BA in Music Performance as well as a Health Care Aide Certificate. While music and piano performance were my first love, I discovered over 10 years ago that my true passion is to care for people in the clinical setting. This is rooted in a desire to work in a place that enables me to live out my compassionate, caring, and joyful personality. It was such an honour to join the Naturopathie Integrative Clinic in Beaumont in 2024 and align with the vision of creating a truly patient centred and compassionate model of care. I can say with full sincerity that I love coming to work as clinic receptionist where I get to witness and support the positive impact that this clinic is having on its community. When not working at the clinic, I love spending time with my husband and two daughters in nature. I look forward to being your first point of contact when you connect with the Naturopathie Integrative Clinic.

Rebecca Scott-Corson

I moved to Alberta from Scotland in 2018 after many years of working for the NHS, primarily with children who had life-limiting illnesses in palliative care and adults in various wards in the hospital and community. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue my healthcare career when I relocated, so I took a role at an accountancy firm before applying for my current position at Naturopathie Integrative Clinic (NIC).

As the Clinic Administrator at NIC, I work behind the scenes to ensure the clinic runs smoothly. This role has taught me not only a great deal about myself but also how alternative approaches to health can transform lives. Every day, I witness the incredible benefits that this clinic offers, and how it can truly turn patients’ lives around.

I deeply respect every member of our team. We work closely together, sharing the common goal of providing a warm and welcoming environment for our patients. From the moment they walk through the clinic door, to the attentive care provided by our Naturopathic Doctors, Nurses, and other disciplines—whether it’s their first visit or their fiftieth—we strive to offer the best experience possible.

Each day brings something new, and I feel incredibly privileged to work here.

Outside of work, I am a proud mother to a 24-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. I love to read, horse ride, and spend time outdoors exploring Alberta with my Partner, and not forgetting the baby of our family —Miss Meredith, our wee cockapoo.

Cristián Neves, MA

As a mental health professional with advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology, I specialize in supporting individuals with chronic illnesses, particularly those coping with cancer. I arrived in Canada with 20 years of experience working with cancer patient organizations and co-founding an organization that supports individuals living with hematological malignancies. My recent graduate studies in Community Engagement at the University of Alberta have deepened my commitment to patient advocacy, allowing me to provide evidence-based guidance that empowers individuals to make informed health decisions.

As a therapist, I use a narrative and systemic approach, emphasizing the transformative power of personal stories within relationships and broader social contexts. This approach enables clients to build resilience and a stronger sense of autonomy as they explore and reshape their experiences. While I deeply enjoy working with families, I am equally passionate about supporting individuals on their personal journeys.

Beyond my clinical practice, I am actively engaged with cancer patient organizations, where I contribute to educational initiatives and support programs that enhance patient care and accessibility. My advocacy work is further driven by a commitment to peace and human rights, supporting events and initiatives that promote empathy, equity, and respect.

Outside of my professional life, I find balance and fulfillment in personal pursuits. Music plays a central role in my life, and I enjoy playing guitar with my band, where creativity and connection flourish. I also cherish spending time outdoors with my wife, especially on walks through Edmonton’s beautiful River Valley. These moments reinforce the importance of wellness and connection in my life.

Whether through individual counseling, advocacy, or community involvement, my goal is to empower clients to face life’s challenges with confidence, autonomy, and resilience. I aim to help them navigate complex journeys with renewed purpose and strength.

I am grateful to be part of this exceptional team at Naturopathie Integrative Clinic. Each team member brings unique strengths and a deep commitment to their professional pursuits, creating a meaningful and supportive environment at the Clinic.

I look forward to meeting you and building a therapeutic relationship that enables us to grow and thrive together!

Lisa Pittet

Growing up on a farm in Saskatchewan, I learned the core values of community, wholesome food, and natural health from a young age. Those early lessons shaped a lifelong belief in the body’s inherent ability to heal itself, provided it is nurtured with the right tools and supported in addressing the root causes of health challenges, rather than merely masking symptoms.

With a deep commitment to wellness, I have spent my adult life in the field, dedicated to helping others achieve optimal health. My passion for learning and growth led me to train as a Live Blood Analyst over three and a half years ago, a decision that sparked a new chapter in my career. Since then, I have furthered my expertise with an Advanced Blood Microscopy and Therapeutics certification, and specialized training with a renowned doctor from South Africa.

Understanding the complexities of the human body is an ongoing journey, and I embrace continuous learning to provide the best support for my clients. As a mother of six, I take a personal and compassionate approach to wellness, forming strong partnerships with those I work with and offering not just guidance, but encouragement and cheer along their healing paths.

I see every individual as unique, honoring the interconnectedness of the spirit, soul, and body. In my practice, I recognize the profound power within each drop of blood, viewing it as a window into each person’s story. Through collaboration with the naturopathic doctors at Naturopathie Integrative Clinic, I work alongside my clients to create a comprehensive healing plan tailored to their individual needs—one that supports their health at the cellular level and takes into account the full scope of their well-being.

At the heart of my work is a deep belief that everyone is meant to live long, healthy, and abundant lives—as designed by God. It is an honor to assist my clients in unlocking their fullest potential and walking alongside them as they achieve greater wellness.

I invite you to connect with me to explore how we can work together to achieve your wellness goals.

Dr. Tania Farghali, Dr. Ac

I am a Registered Acupuncturist and based on my own experience with chronic headaches and migraines, I know how powerful acupuncture can be to provide relief. My experience with acupuncture was so profound that I decided to return to school and study to become an Acupuncturist. Throughout my education at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC, I was continually amazed at how effective acupuncture is and by the elegance of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

When needles are inserted into various acupoints, these points become activated and prompt the body into energetic changes which promote a healing balance. Nothing is injected into the body nor is there a surgical component – only super-fine acupuncture needles. Patients of all ages may benefit which makes acupuncture truly sustainable.

Throughout my studies, I learned many techniques to use alongside acupuncture such as Cupping, Moxibustion, Gua Sha and Tui Na. My favourites are Gua Sha and Ontake Moxa Rolling because they yield such amazing results for pain, and I tend to utilize these techniques in most of my treatments. I also learned during my studies, the Mei Zen System of Cosmetic Acupuncture. This is another one of my favorite treatments because in addition to the facial rejuvenation aspect, the body is also being treated. As such, acupuncture is a natural and sustainable medicine that may be used for health and beauty.
